HDS Studios, Hayes, (within M25 between M4 and A40)

HDS Studios is vacant and available for hire. It is a former TV studio site and can be hired as a set build facility or as a productuion base exclusively through Janie Richardson at The Collective.

HDS Studios boasts:

• 4 large sound studios (24ft height clearance) totalling 28,000sqft
• 3 smaller broadcasting studios
• Abundance of production office space
• Equipment storage
• Workshop areas
• Dressing rooms
• On-site unit parking (90 bays)

Stage 3: Newly refurbished, stage 3 offers 8400 sq ft of studio space with 24 ft height clearance, 3 phase power, and a cyc set-up

Situated in Hayes Middlesex, HDS Studios is a cost-effective alternative to a facilitated studio, catering for most scales of production with the flexibility of both expansive set-build studios. You will save vast amounts in hire fees but will not quite have the on-site creature comforts of Pinewood / Shepperton / Ealing for example.

HDS Studios has four large sound stages all with 24ft height clearance:

Studio 1 - 6,210sqft (69ft x 90ft) - £2,875 per week or £POA per day

Studio 2 - 5,796sqft (84ft x 69ft) - £2,875 per week £POA per day

Studio 3 - 8,400sqft (105ft x 92ft) - £5,175 per week £POA per day

Studio 6 - 8,514sqft (66ft x 129ft) - £4,025 per week £POA per day

 TOTAL - 28,900SQFT

Smaller studios at HDS which can be used for workshops and storage are:

Studio 4a - 1,291sqft - £POA

Studio 4b - 1,300sqft - £POA

Studio 4c - 1,700sqft - £POA

Plus there is an additional space next to Studio 6 which has had a variety of uses in the past for example a vast costume and props store as well as huge workshop:

Warehouse 5 - 7,000sqft (approx) - £500 per day or £1,750 per week

There is a wealth of production office space divided into three demarked and controllable areas within the site:

Main Building: Ground floor - over 9,000sqft

Main Building: First floor - over 10,000sqft

Stage 5: First floor - 2,875sqft

Additional office space around the site - 7,500sqft

TOTAL: 28,500sqft +

Other areas to note at HDS Studios are:

The old canteen which does not have any catering facilities but is a space that can be used as a dining area.

There are many spaces that can be used as dressing rooms and most have a mirror with some chairs. The rooms vary in size with the largest being on the ground floor of the main building.

There is parking on site for 90 cars but with an experienced unit manager you should be able to accomodate two large units on-site at any one time.

Fees and availability for HDS:

Weekly hire fees for the stages range between £2,875 and £5,175 depending on studio requirements and duration of hire.

A standard drama production office size space is roughly £1,150 per week.

Site Management:

There are two site managers at HDS who are onsite from 07:00 to 17:00 each week day. There is a chargeable rate outside of these hours and weekends. More details on request.

Electricity:

Offices: £150.00 (plus VAT) per week
Stages: Each stage is charged a daily electricity rate, they are not metered. More details on request.

Parking:

Parking onsite is shared between the stages. Site Management will liaise with you to arrange the best use of this space on the day. Unrestricted parking is provided on the road around the site.

Security:

It is the responsibility of each production to supply their own security. Site Management are there to look after the entire site.
