Location of the month, June 2011- Walton Court

Offices

The offices at Walton Court are varied and unique.

  • There is a great atrium / reception space
  • Traditonal offices with real depth flanked by large windows that give great views and light
  • Areas that are very colourful and in a more funky, media office style.

This great example of a Corporate HQ is perfect for use as a film set or as a production base.

Basement

The basement areas at Walton Court are interesting spaces indeed. There is everything that one would hope to find in the underbelly of a large office complex and more; the intricately wrought metal piping, the heating and boiler equipment, the long whitewashed corridors- even a safe room with a reinforced metal door.

Rooftops

If the confines of shooting in the office are getting you down, then feel free to explore the rooftops where you will see the world from a much different perspective. Situated 3 floors up, you will have a great view of the surrounding area and you will also see that this is a perfect place for you to shoot that 'rooftop' scene.

Exteriors

You may think that because Walton Court is a typical 60's office block, the exteriors will be drab and uninteresting but that could not be further from the truth. There is real character in the exteriors from the design of the listed main building and the verdant quad in the middle, to the quirky water features that are dotted throughout the location.

There is also an ample car park at Walton Court sufficient for any but the very largest unit base.

Walton Court is a great example of the perfect office location-vacant, large, versatile spaces, a short distance from London and all set in an enclosed area that is easily controlled and away from any major thoroughfare.

One point of note is that the car park runs adjacent to a railway line but this has never hindered any filming or potential hire in the past.
