Situated near Old Street in E2, Mildmay Hospital has been made available again for filming. The building is vacant and many areas are still hospital-dressed and ready for filming, with some props still on-site. There is ample space for tech vehicles and a small unit. All areas of the hospital are accessible, including wards, treatment rooms, reception areas, staff accomodations, kitchen, canteen, offices and basement. One modern and one older reception area are intact, with access to both passenger and goods lifts. Smaller nurses' offices are available, along with the wood-panelled former library / reading room and the hospital boardroom.

A great variety of wards and treatment rooms are spread over three floors at the back of the building. A chapel of rest for the recently deceased leads conveniently to the hospital mortuary.
|
|
|
|
The building's three floors offer a selection of long corridors. A central staircase and elevator area sits between the ward and administration spaces housed in this part of the building.
|
|
|
|
The on-site staff block incorporates dormitories, toilet and shower facilities, as well as food prep and common rooms. These areas can easily double for student campus or hostel accomodation.
|
|
|
|
Other interesting spaces include the former chapel with wood-panelled raised dais, the kitchen and canteen areas, and the hospital basement, including atmospheric subterranean corridors.

Mildmay Hospital is available immediately through The Collective. The location's owner has stated that hires of 5 days or more are most attractive. We cannot guarantee that low budget, 1/2 day shoots can be accomodated, due to the costs involved in providing access to the building. That said, we are happy to consider enquiries on a case-by-case basis.
